SCÈNE NATIONALE EQUINOXE



From circus and theater to contemporary and symphonic music concerts, Châteauroux's Equinoxe national stage offers a rich and diverse range of cultural events.2023 and 2024 program, as well as the Equinoxe Châteauroux ticket office. The Equinoxe is one of France's most recent national stages, and a true artistic anchor. You can see dance shows in the Indre region, as well as theater performances.
The Equinoxe stage is just a ten-minute walk from the Fassardy B&B and the Cordeliers gîte.

NATIONAL SHOOTING CENTER (CNTS)



Olympic Games 2024The fabulous Olympic destiny of the Châteauroux conurbation
Fifteen Olympic titles will be awarded in Berry from July 27 to August 5, during the shooting events of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Originally, however, the Centre national de tir sportif (CNTS) in Châteauroux/Déols was not intended to host the event.Located almost three hours from the Olympic village, the CNTS was not in a strong position to host the Games. But last summer, all that changed when environmental constraints called into question the organization of the shooting events at the site in La Courneuve (Seine-Saint-Denis). A logical decision, given the existing facilities.

DARC INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL



For over forty years, the city of Châteauroux has hosted the DARC international stage-festival. For ten days, this summer event sets the city's heart beating to the rhythm of dance, music and the arts.
The Darc Festival Chateauroux 2024 will be held again in Chateauroux in August, with dates yet to be confirmed. This Indre-based festival is a not-to-be-missed event.


Hundreds of trainees from all over the world, under the guidance of great names from a wide range of artistic disciplines, come to discover or develop their passion for dance and music. At the same time, the DARC festival offers a host of free contemporary music concerts.

VILLEDIEU GOLF COURSE



Created in 1989, and just a few kilometers north of Châteauroux, the Golf du Val de l'Indre lies on the former grounds of the Château de Villedieu-sur-Indre. It is part of the Golfy network.

BELLE-ISLE



Base nautique de Belle-IsleChâteauroux is Belle-Isle on land. With its lake in the heart of the city, every summer the town of Castelroussine offers the perfect setting for lovers of fresh air and water sports.
In each of the twenty-six rooms, you'll discover the aviary brought back from St. Helena, the plaster original of Camille Claudel's Sakuntala, Flemish and Dutch paintings, a cabinet of curiosities, an Egyptology cabinet, Empire collections, Gallo-Roman and medieval works. Temporary exhibitions are held regularly.

This rare heritage site is a real nugget for the curious, and what's more, it's free to visit!

BALSANEO



the Balsan'éo aquatic center is scheduled to open in summer 2021, "at the end of the first half of the year", says mayor Gil Avérous.

The Balsan'éo aquatic center will be able to accommodate 1,500 people. It will feature two indoor swimming pools. One will be 25 x 25 metres, while the other will be slightly smaller and dedicated to learning. Regional and even national competitions will be accommodated. In addition, a 50-meter-long outdoor pool is currently under construction. The emphasis will also be on well-being, with several sauna and hammam areas.
The latter overlooks terraced gardens designed by the Franciscans who once occupied the site. For the past twenty years, the nave, chapter house and monks' dormitory have been home to the works of numerous modern and contemporary artists, as well as the International Biennial of Contemporary Ceramics.

LISZTOMANIAS



Since 2002, the Lisztomanias music festival in Châteauroux has been welcoming lovers of Romantic music to various venues around the city at the end of October. For the record, composer Franz Liszt used to visit the Berrichonne region during his visits to George Sand..

On the program: major evening concerts, afternoon concerts, literary and musical performances, conferences, exhibitions and café-concerts. The Lisztomanias Festival in Châteauroux has an affordable pricing policy for top-quality programs.

FORMER BALSAN FACTORY SITE



Discover the historic site of the Balsan fabric factory, set in a wooded park on the banks of the Indre River.

The park is an ideal place for students to relax on the eco-campus that has now replaced the old factories. You can access it directly from our school via a path that runs alongside the Indre river.

In 2021, the large clock building will house the "Cité numérique".

CLUNIAC SITE OF DEOLS



A little sister to Cluny, the Benedictine abbey of Notre-Dame de Déols was one of the largest Romanesque churches in France. A lapidary space and a 3D reconstruction will show you the abbey as it was in its heyday!

DISCOVER THE INDRE VALLEY



Just a stone's throw from the Gîte des Cordeliers and the Fassardy B&B, take to the trails of the Vallée de l'Indre, which forms part of the Castelroussin landscape.

This natural wetland along the banks of the Indre is home to a unique flora and fauna. Let yourself be seduced by the charm of this protected natural site: the itinerary starts at the foot of the former Cordeliers convent and continues to the nautical base or to the racecourse, depending on your mood.

Children's games and a fitness trail punctuate this one-and-a-half-hour stroll, which will provide beautiful light on autumn, spring and summer evenings. We can't recommend that you stop off for a drink at the Belle-Ile park guinguette, which offers a warm, authentic atmosphere!
